Ingredients (yields Serves 1 servings)
- 1 whole prebaked pizza crust or pizza dough, rolled out to fit a pizza pan
- 1/2 cup fig jam
- 8 ounces 1/3 less fat cream cheese, softened
- 1 cups Granny Smith apples, with skins on, diced
- 1 cups Bosc pears, peeled and diced
- 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cups light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 egg
Cooking Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a medium mixing bowl, whip together the jam and cream cheese. Add one beaten egg and mix thoroughly, then set aside. In a medium skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add apples and pears and stir to coat evenly with the butter. Saute for five minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, and walnuts. Continue cooking until sugar is completely melted and starts to thicken slightly. Remove from heat and set aside.
On the pizza crust, spread cream cheese mixture to within 1/2 inch of the edge. Add apple filling on top and bake 10-15 minutes, or until bubbly.
