I added 1 zucchini (in quartered slices), 3 slices of bacon (chopped), an extra cup of mozzarella, some oregano, some basil, and a little extra pastina. It was delicious! We were thinking it could be good with some shrimp and/or mushrooms too. It is simple enough for a family dinner and flavorful enough for entertaining.

A lot of the reviews I read said that the dish was a little bland, so I seasoned the chicken with salt and pepper while cooking. It was good!
