I had a drink very similar to this at the Boston Harbor Hotel bar in the dining room. This is served in a martini glass and the ingredients were apple cider, apple vodka, cinnamon schnapps, rimmed in a brown cane sugar and apple sliced dusted with cinnamon and topped off with a cinnamon stick. I would take the Quincy commuter boat ($12.00 round trip) to Boston and walk over just to have one (o.k. two) of these drinks! I now serve it at home for guests and they love it as a fall or holiday drink.

At my house, the apple brandy (and some spiced rum and maybe a splash of cinnamon schnapps) are NOT optional, thankyouverymuchMartha. This is strictly a Witch's Brew for adults. I will go out on a limb here and admit that I serve this in travel mugs for the taller trick or treaters that go out with my kids and their friends. My neighbors at our old house loved this tradition so much that I would come home from my daily travels every year on Halloween to find a collection of their travel mugs waiting for me on my front porch. Fill me up, please!
