I make these every year and pack them up in cute little Halloween take out boxes or clear cellophane bags to give to friends. People get so impressed by them, and although they do take a bit of time, they're really not difficult to make. Anyone who tries them for the first time, though, inevitably seems surprised by how small they come out if you follow the recipe exactly. I double the dough but layer as directed to make bigger cookies. You need to cut sharp edges or your cookies will look blobby instead of like triangles.
