Recipe Keywords
- fall x
Ingredients (yields servings)
- 3 oz plain or apple flavored vodka
- 1/2 oz sour apple pucker liquer OR applejack brandy
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- Smuckers Caramel Sundae Syrup
- red decorating sugar
Cooking Instructions
Before making the drinks, chill the glasses in the freezer and set out two sandwich-size plates. Squeeze caramel syrup on one plate until the base of the plate is covered. Spread the red sugar on the second plate.
Take one chilled glass and dip the rim very lightly into the caramel. Then dip it in red sugar. Set aside. (If you use too much caramel, it will run down the sides of the glass and make a mess.)
In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine vodka, apple liquer of choice, and lemon juice. Shake well and strain into prepared glass. Serve immediately.
For a party, you can increase the amounts of everything to make a large batch in a pitcher. Shake each cocktail over ice and pour into prepared glass.

This recipe will not help you to use up your apples from a day of picking, but it sure will taste good when you put your feet up after a long day in the orchard!
